Unlike my peers in college who loved to fake their IQs by wearing geeky reading glasses, I resented the idea of not seeing things clearly without using a pair of readers. I also disliked the inconvenience of having to take them off so I could wear another pair of sunglasses when I was out in the sun. Women's reading glasses made me feel like a "victim twice over" of my poor eyesight. However, I had to accept the fact that my eyesight needed a boost that only a pair of reading glasses could provide. Regardless of how I disliked wearing them, I had no choice.
